Description

Warning: PolyHex™ use will make your polycarbonate obsolete. PolyHex is a next-generation copolyester that combines the best qualities of PC with the 3D printing ease of PETG. This material was developed in partnership with the U.S. Army to create an accessible 3D printing filament that can be used on most desktop 3D printers to manufacture injection molds that can withstand hundreds of shots in the field.

Objects printed with PolyHex will have the same strength, durability, and chemical resistance of legacy polycarbonate without the typical PC troubles of warping, smell, BPA exposure, high printing chamber temperature, and cost. Use PolyHex to create injection molds that can withstand hundreds of medium IM temperature shots, vacuum form molds, and anything that will be exposed to high heat.

Really promising filament. Pretty solid. I just need to tweak my setting to get this working correctly, planning to buy more!

I’ve gone through 10+kg of this stuff and I love it. It’s not a beginner filament and some tweaking is necessary, but the benefits of PETG properties with a higher glass transition temp is perfect for my application. I need to be able to sanitize my products with steam and this stuff is tough as nails. No one with a similar filament comes close to this price per kg either. 5 stars.

After an exhaustive search of the Internet looking for a hi-temp PETG filament I stumbled upon PolyHex and immediately ordered 2 spools. From everything that was written it was exactly what I was looking for. Received the 2 spools in just a few days and I immediately put one in my X1C and set it to print. In all honesty the results where not very good on the first piece. But because it had everything I needed I was determined to figure it out. Gave a quick call over to IC3D to see if they could give me any help/direction and let me tell you they could not have been more eager to help. Fast forward 3/4 weeks and countless phone calls and text messages later I just ordered another 8 rolls of the PolyHex. It is an amazing material once you get it dialed in. You have to have patience but let me tell you well worth the work. Amazing people with amazing products. If you are in the market for a material that prints like PETG but has properties closer to PC this is your filament.
